The BREEZE-LIFE Project General Assembly successfully took place in Warsaw, kindly hosted by Narodowa Agencja Poszanowania Energii S.A. (National Energy Conservation Agency). The event brought together partners from across Europe, both in person and online, to review progress, exchange insights, and define the next steps toward advancing sustainable and energy-efficient building renovation.
Throughout the first day, participants engaged in constructive discussions and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the strong collaboration within the consortium. The meeting also benefited from the valuable contribution of the project adviser from CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, whose insights further enriched the exchanges. Remote participants actively contributed as well, ensuring inclusive and dynamic dialogue across all partners.
The second day of the General Assembly featured an engaging study tour in Warsaw, offering a hands-on perspective on how continuous modernization can enhance the energy performance of residential buildings. Participants visited a multi-family building that demonstrated the effectiveness of ongoing diagnostics, targeted upgrades, and cost-optimal renovation strategies.
The tour provided practical insights into advanced heating system management, improvements in electrical infrastructure, the integration of renewable energy solutions such as rooftop photovoltaics and urban wind turbines, and upgraded ventilation systems with heat recovery. Expertly guided by RafaĆ Kropiewnicki, the visit sparked meaningful discussions on both the technical and economic impacts of these measures, highlighting their strong potential for scalability across Europe.
The study tour marked a fitting and inspiring conclusion to the General Assembly.
